Niagara Belt involved in TOP – Tracking Original Products Project
in cooperation with “Politecnico di Milano” and “Università La Sapienza di Roma”
Due to high attention to technology innovation, Niagara Belt is the reference pilot company fashion accessories industry of TOP project, selected by the Lombardy Region as an important project into its meta-districts.
The project involves nine companies of Brescia and Bergamo areas, operating in different fields , and two important international research centers – Politecnico di Milano and Università La Sapienza di Roma .
The aim is to introduce information technologies into logistics and traceability processes of the pilot companies through an advanced technology testing, especially the RFId (Radio Frequency Identification) and NFC (Near Field Communication) technologies.
During the two years project, Niagara Belt will test the application of RFId TAGs on their products in order to manage the traceability and to input appropriately the entire supply chain, the distribution systems and the consumer.
